Accommodations
We will be staying in industrial-chic suites located in Medellín’s trendy Provenza neighborhood. You'll love the SoHo vibe created by one of the trendiest architects in Colombia.
This will be our own private retreat with access to our own garden setting separate from the city. This will give us the privacy we need to cover our finances while still being in the middle of the best nightlife district in the city.
It's within easy walking distance to many of the popular areas and excursion pickups.
Dining & Culture
We don't want you to have to worry about a thing when you're at a Welcome to Wealth retreat. That's why most of the meals are planned and prepared for you (aside from a few meals out when we're exploring.)
We'll keep you well-fed, so you can be nourished and refreshed as you tackle your financial future. And we're going to enjoy the local cuisine.
Do you have food allergies or preferences? No problem! We're going to collect all that information from you in the application to make sure you have options at every meal that meet your diet restrictions and preferences.
Entertainment & Activities
I wouldn't have you travel all the way to Colombia to keep you inside all day. I've built in time for us to get out and see the sights together. And you'll even have some free time to choose your own adventure.

I'm Lauryn Williams, former professional track athlete and 4x Olympian. But I'm not telling you that to brag. That's actually the start of my financial journey. As I tried to navigate my finances as a young professional, I realized there was a gap in the financial industry. I couldn't find someone that wanted to help me UNDERSTAND my own finances. This frustration led me down the road to becoming a financial planner.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any free time?
Yes, we know you could have signed up for our 12-week online program if you only wanted to learn about personal finance. So, we have built free time into the retreat schedule so you can see and explore all that Medellin has to offer. We also have some fun activities planned to introduce you to the culture and environment!
Do I have to share a room?
We encourage you to explore the option of sharing a double-occupancy room as a way to save money and meet a new friend, but we understand that some people enjoy a little privacy. So, single-occupancy rooms are available at the total retreat cost of $3,800.
Is travel included?
Flights are not included in the cost of the trip.
You will want to fly into Medellin Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE). There are direct flights from Orlando (MCO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Miami (MIA), and New York City (JFK). Feel free to use popular apps like Kayak or Orbit to book your flight.
Airport transfers are included in Colombia. Feel free to tip the driver.
Is it safe to travel to Colombia?
First, let me assure you that I would never bring you to a destination where I didn't feel comfortable myself. I have spent a total of 10 weeks over five trips in Medellin, Colombia, since 2019. I've also traveled to six other cities throughout Colombia.
I believe it's always important to remain vigilant when traveling, but I have never felt unsafe while in Colombia.
Medellin is one of the safest cities in Colombia. While it had a turbulent past, which tends to be highlighted on television and in movies, not everything we see on tv is true. Much like the U.S., there are dangerous areas in Colombia, but we're not going to visit any of them.
We do recommend purchasing travel insurance and not wearing a bunch of valuables as you travel.
Medellin is becoming a popular travel destination, and I know you'll see why during the Welcome to Wealth retreat!
